Ghosts, Gods ands Gaseous Beings - acrylic painting on custom shaped plywood
Large acrylic painting by Andy Hook on plywood wobble edged board. Much to look at: God beating Superman, a super-evolved intelligent plasma being in the top left, and so many strange fluid beings… a cloud fish. This bright and candy coloured work is my first instinctive painting, following no plan, but starting with the subject of gaseous creatures. It has some lovely, pretty areas, and much upon which to feast one’s eye and mind custard. I have used layers of fluorescent pigments, and the brightness of the colours has to be seen in real life to be appreciated - video doesn’t capture it. There’s also a little phosphorescent (glow in the dark) paint used for a spooky nocturnal surprise. Pick up from Andy in Melbourne, or contact me and I can have it couriered it to you.
approx. 750 mm wide x 1060 mm tall x 15 mm deep. 7.8kg
